Groups are a wonderful way to connect with other Twigit users. Please remember that groups need to be approved before they are active. We aim to make this process as seamless as possible in order to maintain a positive and helpful environment for all.
Step 1
To create a group you will need to go to the 'Groups' tab on the site. Once there, you will see the 'New Group' green button. Clicked on that and you will be brought to a page where you will need to select a category which suits your group.
Step 2
Add in your group details such as group title, permalink and description. Here you can also decide if you want to have photo albums enabled as well as announcements and discussions. You will also need to decide the format in which way users can join the group. Here are the four types of groups:
Open Groups - Anyone can join the group and it does not require approval. These groups will appear in the search results.
Public Groups (require moderation) - Anyone can join the group but the user will require the approval from the group admin before they can join the group. Theses groups will appear in the search results.
Closed Groups - Users will need to request to join these groups. These groups will appear in the search results.
Invite Only Groups - Only group members can invite other users to join this group. These groups will not appear in the search results.
Step 3
You can of course personalise your group by adding an avatar and a cover. You will set the notifications type as well as choose to enable events, feed a polls.
