So, this evening (at 6:30 here), we have the smallest (furthest) Full Moon of the year in Leo. Its common name is the Snow Moon, but there are others, depending on where people come from.
Leo is the sign of strength and a courageous heart - time for that final, deep letting go of the winter and stepping forward into the new year with love for our Sisters, Brothers and our Home.
It goes deeper than that though, depending upon your rising sign. Bear with me while I try to clarify through my natal placements. My 12th House is Leo - the house of the subconscious (energetically, Pisces, ruled by Neptune). 'My' Neptune is in Scorpio which has brought a lot up for me this last couple of years (both my Dad and my ex were/are Scorpio Suns).
Scorpio is (energetically) 8th House where my Moon lies (with Saturn and Lilith) and Pluto (traditional ruler of Scorpio) is conjunct my Sun in 1st House...
Sounds very complicated, but it isn't actually, not once you 'feel' your way through your own chart. Anyway, I knew I needed some deep, watery healing to release another layer. So I ran a deep bath and did a wonderful meditation my Astrology teacher gave me some years back. I used this as the backdrop, as she did... just wonderful π
(I think my gist is - there aren't rules about how to work with the energies around us, do what is right for you ππ«π)
